About Appliers

I am not a scripter but I will share my basic knowledge of what appliers are and how they work.

Appliers are simply a way of making items from many different creators compatible with your mesh body.  Because every mesh creator uses their own code there has to be an intermediary to make everything compatible with everything else.  Please read Mesh Body Basics for more in depth information on mesh bodies.

We have chosen to use The Advanced Omega System.  It is by far the largest and most widely used
system to make your clothes talk to your mesh body.  By that I mean, there has to be a way of telling the clothing what part of the mesh body it needs to be applied to.  With your basic Linden Labs avi this is already built into the system.  Not so with mesh avis.  The three most popular makers of mesh bodies are Maitreya with their wildly successful Lara product, as well as Belleza, and Slink Physique.  All three support Omega appliers, with Slink coming on board Septmeber 2015.  This was great news as now 1 applier will work for 99% of mesh avatars, making it easier for designers as well as end users.

Appliers have 3 main components in order to work.  The first of course is your mesh body.  In addition you will need applier clothing (we hope you love ours) and a relay which we sell in most cases for $99L and will work with any product from any creator who includes Omega appliers.

When you purchase our applier clothing you will only see the applier as the clothing texture is coded into the applier.  Other designers may also include the old systems clothing, but this will not work on your mesh body, only the applier clothing will.  We do not include the system clothing as we specialize in clothing for mesh bodies only.

The relay is the piece that makes it all work and is brand specific.  For instance if you have a Maitreya Lara mesh body you will want to purchase the Maitreya Kit.  This will provide the bridge between a Maitreya product and the clothing appliers.  Think of it as a sort of translator.  Relay kits are also available for Slink Physique, and Belleza Mesh Body as well as other creators.  Please go to http://lovenlustdesigns.blogspot.com/p/supported-meshes.html for a complete list of supported products as your mesh body may be supported.  New creators are being added all the time.
