Getting Dressed
Please read Making your Basic Avatar first. Most of the information you need will be contained in that notecard.
Always begin by wearing a fresh basic avatar or whatever you called her. Replace your outfit with her. Now all you have to do is get dressed. Simply add you applier clothing, mesh clothing, shoes, hair, tatts, jewelry, whatever you like.
Right click on your tag and select 'Edit my Outfit' then go to 'Save As' and give it a meaningful name like ' Ison Blazer Dress Outfit'. Then you are done!! Next time you want to wear that outfit, easy peasy, one sec, and you are dressed.
Alpha Cuts Screen on HUD |
the sliders in 'Edit my Shape'. Sometimes a combination of alpha cuts and slider adjustments can fix the problem. Remember the alphas included in your outfit will not work with a mesh body. You must use the alpha cuts included with your body HUD. Please see the documentation/instructions included with your body. As always, please take advantage of the demos offered by the designers before you buy mesh clothing. Not every mesh fits every body.
If you are using the Advanced Omega System appliers it's a good idea to wear that HUD always. Just place it in an empty corner of your screen where it won't bother you by right clicking on it, then 'edit' and use the handles to pull into place. You will need to be wearing this HUD in order to wear and remove your applier clothing that is supported by Omega.
VERY IMPORTANT: With the exception of most HUDS, and alphas, never, ever, never, LOL, use wear. Always use ' Add' when putting on meshes. Your mesh body parts may be attached at the same points as your clothing. 'Wear' will knock off that part instead of adding clothing which might make you the 'one armed woman' with a nice top. If you forget and the worst happens simply start over by making a new outfit and resaving.
I hope you found this information helpful!!
